When ordering printing, state the material and the pattern together. The printing method and production conditions can only be discussed once the surface, the artwork and where the pattern will show after cutting and sewing are known.
Which material is printed, and what follows?
Printing on clear PVC film and printing on synthetic leather with a backing fabric are two different reviews. Send the front and back, the thickness, whether the surface is treated, and what processing follows the printing. A sample you already use can serve as the reference.
Prepare the artwork together with the real repeat
- Prepare the original artwork file and the colour reference.
- Mark the horizontal and vertical repeat and its direction.
- Send the roll width, the quantity needed and the delivery date.
- Mark where the pattern shows after cutting and sewing, and where it has to line up.
Taking the artwork and the production conditions together, agree which printing method or dedicated roller is needed. A photograph alone rarely shows whether something can go into bulk.
Approve artwork, colour, dimensions and position one by one
Before bulk, artwork, colour, repeat and printed position are each checked. Depending on the product, confirm which performance tests are needed and whether the print suits the processing that follows. The approved sample and the record of changes become the production standard.
